Jack Byrne Ford Employee Handbook
Full-time employees are eligible after their introductory period for five
paid sick days each year.
During your initial year of employment, after completing your introductory
period, you will earn one sick day. You will earn an additional sick day for
every two months worked. Upon reaching April 1 and the end of the
introductory period, an employee will have five sick days to use for the
next April 1 to March 31 sick day period.
Sick days are calculated using the yearly period April 1 thru March 31.
Sick days may not be carried over the following year. However, if you do not
use your sick days during the year, hourly employees will be paid at the end
of the fiscal year for the days not taken.
Employees will not be paid for earned but unused sick days upon termination
